Standing 65 meters tall, the grand twin towers at the Vietstar waste-to-energy plant serve as an essential functional component in the exhaust gas treatment and purification process. These steel towers represent a continuation of Viet Ngo’s dual-natured artistic practice, in which the works exist as living entities, tirelessly laboring to process emissions. A unique aesthetic experience unfolds as Viet Ngo invites visitors to ascend the towers; there, they can gaze out at the surrounding landscape while leaning against the cylindrical structure that operates ceaselessly. In this space, visitors directly sense this labor process and reflect on urban consumption habits. They are inspired to become a TITAN, a giant towering high to break the flatness of the surrounding terrain.
